Aurora Lodge Helligskogen - a true arctic location - In the borderlands close to Kilpisjärvi, Finland and the tree border point between Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Nestled in the picturesque Skibotn Valley of northern Norway, is renowned for its prime location to witness the mesmerizing northern lights, just a two-hour drive from the Arctic metropolis of Tromsø.
At Helligskogen you can immerse yourself in authentic Arctic adventures, such as dogsledding, snowmobiling, hiking, Nordic skiing, fishing, and hunting amidst breathtaking mountain vistas. During summer season we offer rental of MTB electric bikes.
After a day of exploration, unwind in our historic log cabin sauna or prepare a meal by the riverside fireplace in our cozy shelter.
Established in 1846 to provide warm and safe refuge for travelers venturing across the borderlands of Sweden and Finland, our lodge maintains its rich history while offering accommodations in the charming old customs station log house.
Dogsledding and snowmobile trips with Activenorth in the Arctic provide thrilling adventures across stunning, icy landscapes. Experience the excitement of being pulled by a team of energetic sled dogs or explore remote terrains on snowmobiles.
In oktober and november dogdledding on carts. From december to april on snow.
